I am an experienced studio session drummer with an extensive credit list including various artists and producers.

With exprience of recording and production techniques, I have often been hired for sessions not only to deliver the performances for tracking, but also to advise and get involved in the mic selection/placement and treatment of the kit to get the required sound from the drums and the room.

I work from The Beat Shed, my studio near Oxford where I can record professional drum recordings for your song or project at very short notice.

I work with different drums and configurations, mic choice and placement and physically adjust the acoustics of the room to get the drum sound you need. Please see the gear list for details of the equipment I use.

I also have experience of working with producers in the commercial sector with very specific briefs and knowing exactly what type of sound they require - from original songs/scores to "re-records" for TV, film and product commercials.

Once tracking is complete, you'll receive the full stems from the sessions in your chosen format for you to process and mix in your project. I can also mix and effect the drums according to your project or individual song and send  you a stereo submix.
